Vegan Mac And Cheese Recipe Ingredients

The sauce for this mac and cheese recipe includes olive oil, all-purpose flour, yellow mustard, coconut milk. Then to spice up the flavor and give the classic mac and cheese taste we include paprika powder, onion powder, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt and pepper, grated vegan cheese and finally, of course, the elbow pasta. How to Make Vegan Mac And Cheese

Warm the olive oil and stir in the flour in a nonstick frying pan over medium heat.

Stir in the mustard and coconut milk. after cooking for about 1 minute.

Season with paprika powder, onion powder, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to taste.

Stir the grated cheese Into the sauce and mix until combined.

Stir in the cooked pasta and put it all into a well-greased casserole pan with vegan butter or olive oil.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup grated vegan cheese
  • ½ lb. cooked elbow pasta
  • ¾ cup vegan cheese grated for topping

Instructions

  • In a nonstick frying pan over medium heat warm the olive oil and stir in the flour.
  • Cook for about 1 minute and stir in the mustard and coconut milk.
  • Season with paprika powder, onion powder, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • In the sauce stir in the grated cheese and mix until combined.
  • Stir in the cooked pasta and transfer into a well-greased casserole pan with vegan butter or olive oil.
  • Top with extra grated cheese and bake in an already heated oven at 350 F or 180 C degrees for about 20-25 minutes.
